Storytelling At Its Funniest!
After four successful Adult Improv class sessions, we thought it was time to put on a show with these talented folks!
"Tall Tales: An Improv Comedy Show" is three unique nights of comedy performed by a new, auditioned improv troupe led by Doug Shaw. A Cedar Valley Celebrity will tell a personal story that will then be acted out in improvised scenes.

Meet the Troupe Leader

DOUG SHAW
Doug Shaw fell in love with improv in 1993 and took numerous classes in Minneapolis. He has led the successful troupe Half-Masted for 12 years, with alumni making it to esteemed stages like Improv Olympic and Upright Citizens Brigade. He has won UNI's top teaching awards and still attends master-classes.
Doug enjoys performing various forms of improv and appreciates both classic and cutting-edge structures. He is also a math professor.
